I can’t believe the results so far
I want to cry I’m so happy! There is light at the end of the tunnel )
My belly button started to pull back into place after the first week!!! And I’m starting to bend in the proper spot! I can see a waist already! I am so pleased so far and can’t wait until I see Gal on Tuesday to start the lifts – I can tell that I need more at this point.
I know there is still a lot of work but from what I see I may look normal again lol! I’m just kicking myself that I didn’t get in touch with you earlier.
I’m looking forward to seeing Gal this week. She is awesome and I have no doubt that she will make sure I get the best results!
You will probably never know but you made a big difference in my postpatrum state
It’s Nicole De Souza. I know it has been a while since you heard from me. It has been about a year since I first met you and we started our training. Anyway I am back in Jamaica now but I wanted to tell you “Thank You”, so much for not just the training that you gave me but the talks that we had, you will probably never know but you made a big difference in my postpatrum state. You are one of the more honest Mum’s I know and I truly appreciate that. Thanks so much for that and of course helping me to get back into shape.

I was fortunate to find Core Expectations while reading Today’s Parent Magazine. I struggled with my weight loss, body recovery and back pain after my first 2 children. I was so happy to find people this time around (with my third) who truly understood my Diastasis and the frustration that accompanies it. I have always been a very active person and the Diastasis has limited my abilities to perform certain activities.
My trainer, Fahmida, provided me with a challenging workout and guidance on things to do while working out on my own. She regularly bounced my little guy in order to allow me to get a workout in. Both Christine (my nutritionist) and Fahmida convinced me that exercise alone isn’t going to cut it. They made me face my eating routines and food choices, and water intake. (Whenever I question my water intake I think of Fahmida.)
The combination of personal training and nutritional counselling has helped me lose 23lbs (in 5.5months) and I’m still counting. Only 12lbs more to go.

I had a girlfriend over today and she asked whether I had gotten a tummy tuck.
I would strongly recommend the Build a Mom program through Core Expectations to anyone who is committed to restoring their body after having children. The program is well designed for a mom making small changes over time to your eating and adding 30 mins of fitness a day. The program requires hard work and dedication but does deliver incredible results. I lost 15 lbs (10%+ of my body weight), 7% body fat and moved from a size 8/10 to size 0/2. Most importantly, I feel great, I have regained strength in my core and have tons of energy. Many thanks to my trainer Kate and Core Expectations in helping me to get to where I am today!

Push me to do the best I can and yet understand that I have a baby
Before having my beautiful baby I used to go to the gym 6 days a week. I enjoyed going to the gym and I was really strong. Once the baby arrived I found it very challenging to go to the gym because I didn’t have enough time. I also couldn’t find the motivation in working out alone at home. So I sought the help of Samantha and Core Expectations to introduce me to a trainer that would motivate me, push me to do the best I can and yet understand that I have a baby. Lisa has been able to accomplish that and more. She adjusts her workouts to my aches and pains and relates to me being a new working mum. But more than anything, she makes the training sessions fun. I thought I was a lost cause until I met Kate
“I am a fairly small person, and after giving birth to two heavy babies I was left with a big problem. I had a large, overhanging belly and a very weak back which made lifting and carrying my children difficult. When Sam assessed me at 6 weeks postpartum, I had a diastasis of 8+ finger widths and I could not raise my head off the floor while lying on my back. To be honest, I thought I was a lost cause, but then I met Kate. She has been exceedingly positive and reassuring (having been in the same situation herself) and did not let me quit. She helped me work the program into my busy schedule, and I have been able to regain much of the strength I had lost as well as close my diastasis halfway so far.
