We hesitated to use the word “cleanse” for this post as it tends to get some people a bit stressed about feelings of pain and deprivation. The word “cleanse” is defined as ‘to rid of impurities’.
We all ‘cleanse’, in some way or another. We clean our house, clean out the garage, our cars, our desks, our purses. We cleanse our teeth, face, nails, our children. Clean things look nice, feel nice, make us feel better. The one thing a lot of us don’t do is cleanse our inner bodies. Sure our bodies do some of that on their own but some of our bodies are so toxic, they can’t do it properly.
Toxins are everywhere. From the food we eat, the air we breathe, the cars we drive in, to the public bathrooms, to the freshly washed clothes we wear. We can’t avoid all of them. Its impossible! So what are we to do? Cleanse.
People hear that “C” word, and run the other way. So, why would you want to cleanse?
There are a number of reasons, in fact:
- improve energy
- lose weight and bloating
- improve mood
- more patience
- rid yourself of headaches
- find the root cause of some stomach issues
- improve joint issues
- sleep better
- possibly prevent disease
- smile more
- love more
- live more……..
If your house looks like a train wreck, you may think it impossible to get it in ship, shape again. You might turn away, hoping that it will get better on its own. But it doesn’t.
Let’s think of our bodies as that junk drawer we all have. Our bodies are that place that we store things, unwanted things, unused things, unloved things. If you leave things, like food, to sit in it and just ignore it, they will go mouldy, rancid, smell, decompose – become toxic. Our bodies try to get rid of what they can but after a while the build-up that additional help or action is needed.
That is where a cleanse comes in.
It doesn’t have to be scary. It doesn’t have to be hard. It can be easy. With the right tools. That’s why we have created this book, Eat Your Way to Feeling Fabulous.
